OUT AND ABOUT IN THE COMMUNITY

Christ Church Episcopal Amazing Grace Ministries conducts a monthly program to provide a nutritious meal to the unhoused members of our community. On August 30 in partnership with the Rotary Club of Las Vegas Southwest, we prepared 60 meals to be served at this event. We also distributed water, hygiene kits and clothes. Participants: Sarah Miller, Barbara Hollins, Taylor Price and Stephanie Montano.

September was Hunger Action Month – a time when people all over America stand together against hunger. Three Square Food Bank is Southern Nevada’s only food bank and the area’s largest hunger relief organization. Three Square Food Bank invited Meadows Bank to volunteer packing food for children at our local schools who might otherwise go without during weekends and long breaks from school. Together with other members of the community we packed 2,080 food packages to be distributed on Friday. Participants: Brandee Price, Marcus Phillips, and Barbara Hollins.
